Gnostic pleasure is the emotion evoked by having one’s curiosity satisfied. It is the good feeling associated with learning and knowing something about the world. The word “gnostic” derives from the Ancient Greek word γνωστικός (gnostikos), meaning learned, which is derived from γνῶσις (gnōsis), meaning knowledge.
